Taurine

Taurine is a sulfur-containing amino acid found abundantly in the brain, retina, muscle tissue, and other organs throughout the body.1 Deficiency is rare, and taurine can be consumed in foods such as eggs, meat, and fish or by way of dietary supplements. It is also added as an ingredient to energy drinks.

It is widely used in the pharmaceutical industry, food industry, detergent industry, and the production of fluorescent whitening agents. Additionally, it is also used in other organic syntheses and biochemical reagents. It is suitable for treating conditions such as colds, fever, neuralgia, tonsillitis, and bronchitis.
